ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Steven Whibley has lived in British Columbia, Alberta and Japan; volunteered in Thailand, Myanmar, and Colombia; explored the ruins of Tikal, Angkor Wat, and Cappadocia; and swum with sharks in Belize. The only thing he loves more than traveling the globe and exploring new cultures is writing books (and spending time with his wife and kids (2 year old son and 4 month old daughter), of course).

Okay, that's the  boring 'who are you' blurb. What about more interesting stuff:

Biggest fear:
Monkeys. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Monkeys are beasts forged in the bowels of Hades. Sure they look cute and cuddly, but have you ever encountered a monkey in the wild? I have! And I'll tell you, when they charge, mouth wide, dagger-like teeth glinting, all you can do is scream like a little girl and hope the end comes quick.

Favorite Color:
Green. Yes, I know I'm colorblind and more specifically I know I'm red-green colorblind, but green - whatever it is that I associate with that color - is my favorite.

Favorite place to travel:
Italy and Thailand. Have you been to either of those two places? If you haven't, you must.

Favorite genre:
I don't think I could answer this question without several minutes of head scratching, and muttering to myself. I don't think there is a genre I don't like. Though, I will say I tend to prefer genre fiction to literary fiction. But when it comes down to it, I can think of books I've been blown away by in pretty much every genre.

Typing speed:
This is the question I'm asked most of all. I type at 70 wpm. Do you want to test your skills? Follow the link TAKE THE TEST
